Anthropogenic effects on wildlife, such as habitat loss/degradation and climate change, are leading contributors to species decline and loss of biodiversity. Of particular concern is the loss of wetland ecosystems as these areas provide habitat for millions of resident and migrating birds.  The ability to accurately estimate future land cover change and its effects are important for land and conservation managers in order to protect resources and mitigate risks to species.

Currently, I am creating geospatial models that predict how land cover and climate changes will affect the resources used by migrating water and shore birds.
